Applies to:
Patients with recurring seasonal or environmental allergy symptoms
Summary:
Most patients do not need allergy testing to begin effective treatment. HLTHI focuses on managing symptoms based on clinical evaluation.
When Testing Is Not Required
Your physician can begin treatment based on:
The timing and pattern of your symptoms
How you respond to over-the-counter or prescription allergy medications
Your environment and known allergen exposures
When In-Person Testing Might Be Recommended
If your symptoms are severe, year-round, or not improving with treatment, your physician may suggest:
Referral to an allergist for skin or blood testing
In-person evaluation to determine specific triggers for allergy shots or immunotherapy
Note: HLTHI does not offer in-house allergy testing but can help coordinate follow-up care if needed.
