Summary:
This article outlines how HLTHI.life providers can help with menstrual irregularities and when to seek in-person care.

What Can Be Addressed Virtually

You can use your HLTHI telehealth visit to discuss:

  • Missed or delayed periods

  • Very heavy or painful periods

  • Irregular cycles (short, long, or unpredictable)

  • Symptoms related to hormonal changes

Your provider can offer guidance, possible causes, and in some cases, prescribe treatment such as hormonal birth control.

When In-Person Care May Be Needed

If your provider suspects an underlying condition such as PCOS, fibroids, or endometriosis, they may refer you for:

  • Blood work

  • Pelvic imaging (e.g., ultrasound)

  • In-person gynecological exam
